Blockchain technology has established itself as a cornerstone for decentralized architectures, offering transparency and immutability across various sectors. However, as the ecosystem expands, it faces increasingly sophisticated security threats and privacy concerns that hinder widespread adoption. Developing advanced security frameworks and privacy-preserving solutions is essential to guarantee the resilience and reliability of next-generation blockchain systems.
This special issue is dedicated to exploring the latest advancements in security and privacy for blockchain systems. We aim to bridge the gap between theoretical cryptographic foundations and practical security implementations. The scope encompasses the analysis of vulnerabilities in decentralized applications, the development of secure smart contracts, and the application of privacy-preserving techniques such as Zero-Knowledge Proofs. We invite high-quality contributions that propose novel architectures, defence strategies against attacks, and robust auditing methods to foster a trustworthy and secure decentralized environment.
The following subtopics are the particular interests of this special issue, including but not limited to:
· Vulnerability Analysis and Formal Verification of Smart Contracts
· Privacy-Preserving Mechanisms including Zero-Knowledge Proofs
· Anomaly Detection and Threat Intelligence in Decentralized Networks
· Security and Privacy in Cross-Chain Bridges and Interoperability
· Robust Consensus Protocols and Network Security
· Post-Quantum Cryptography for Secure Distributed Ledgers
· Forensics, Attack Mitigation, and Compliance in DeFi Ecosystems
