Summary

Cancer research and treatment are undergoing a profound transformation thanks to advances in both molecular biology and digital technologies. On one side, the identification of novel molecular targets is reshaping therapeutic strategies, while on the other, artificial intelligence (AI) and computational approaches are emerging as powerful tools to improve diagnostics, treatment personalization, and drug development. This Special Issue aims to explore these innovative perspectives in oncology by providing a critical and comprehensive overview of recent progress.

The collection will encourage a balanced discussion of opportunities, challenges, and limitations regarding innovative approaches in oncology. Contributions are invited from researchers and clinicians across disciplines to share experimental findings, clinical applications, and critical viewpoints related to molecular mechanisms, therapeutic targeting, AI-driven technologies, and their integration into clinical practice.

By bringing together diverse insights, this Special Issue seeks to advance a more effective, responsible, and interdisciplinary approach to cancer research and treatment, bridging molecular medicine and artificial intelligence.
