Summary

Dear colleagues.
I am writing to propose a special issue focused on the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine tumors, particularly in the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. The incidence of endocrine tumors, especially thyroid cancer, has been rising globally, necessitating continuous research and innovation in surgical and medical management.

While surgical resection remains the primary treatment for many endocrine tumors, doctors should be considering the surgical complications and hormone status after surgery. This special issue aims to highlight novel strategies to optimize functional outcomes while ensuring surgical or recurrence.

In recent years, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques have revolutionized endocrine surgery, offering precision, reduced morbidity, and improved recovery. The integration of these cutting-edge technologies warrants further discussion and dissemination among the surgical and endocrine communities. Additionally, genomic research has provided deeper insights into tumor pathogenesis, guiding more personalized therapeutic strategies. This issue will explore the latest genomic discoveries and their clinical implications in endocrine oncology.

I believe this special issue will serve as a valuable resource for researchers and clinicians in the field, fostering innovation and improving patient outcomes. I look forward to your consideration and the opportunity to collaborate on this important topic.
