Summary

Gynecological cancers (ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal) remain a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. A significant factor in their poor prognosis, particularly for ovarian cancer, is the frequent diagnosis at advanced stages due to the lack of specific early symptoms and effective screening tools. While established diagnostic methods like histopathology are indispensable, the era of precision oncology demands a paradigm shift towards earlier, more accurate, and minimally invasive approaches.

This Special Issue, "Innovative Diagnostic Strategies in Gynecological Cancer Research," aims to compile cutting-edge research and comprehensive reviews that highlight the forefront of diagnostic innovation. The focus will extend beyond traditional techniques to explore how novel technologies and integrative approaches can revolutionize risk stratification, early detection, differential diagnosis, prognosis prediction, and real-time monitoring of treatment response in gynecologic oncology.

This Special Issue will focus on, but is not limited to, the following thematic areas:
1. Liquid Biopsy and Circulating Biomarkers
2. Advanced Molecular Profiling and Omics Technologies
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Pathology
4. Novel tissue biomarkers for diagnostics, prognosis and prediction
5. Multi-Modal and Integrative Diagnostic Panels
6. Clinical Validation and Translational Studies
