Summary

The transition from 5G to 6G is transforming mobile internet ecosystems through intelligent connectivity, edge–cloud computing, quantum technologies, AI, IoT, and converged applications. These developments introduce increasingly complex challenges in cybersecurity, privacy, trust, resilience, and safety.


Computer modeling, simulation, formal analysis, and experimental evaluation are essential for understanding emerging threats and developing effective security solutions for 6G-era Mobile Internet and Converged Systems (6MICS). AI can also assist threat detection, vulnerability analysis, security assessment, and adaptive defense. This special issue invites original research articles, reviews, and case studies on innovative models, methods, algorithms, architectures, and practical solutions for secure and trustworthy 6MICS.

This special issue plans to include substantially extended versions of selected high-quality papers presented at the 10th KIISC International Conference on Mobile Internet Security (MobiSec’26).
