The rapid evolution of next-generation intelligent networks and cyber-physical systems has transformed industries by enabling seamless connectivity, real-time data processing, and decentralized decision-making. Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and secure vehicular networking are critical enablers of this transformation, providing low-latency, high-reliability, and adaptive infrastructures for emerging applications such as smart cities, healthcare, autonomous systems, and industrial automation. However, these advancements come with challenges in scalability, security, and interoperability, necessitating new computational models, secure architectures, and robust optimization techniques.
This Special Issue aims to bring together innovative research in computational modeling, optimization strategies, and security frameworks that enhance the performance, resilience, and intelligence of future IoT ecosystems, edge computing platforms, and cyber-physical applications. We encourage submissions addressing computational methods, AI-driven network optimization, energy-efficient communication protocols, privacy-preserving mechanisms, and secure data-sharing models for IoT and edge environments.
The suggested themes include (but are not limited):

· Edge and fog computing architectures for smart applications
· Security and privacy challenges in cyber-physical systems

This issue welcomes original research, case studies, and review articles that contribute to advancing computational modeling in next-generation networks and intelligent cyber-physical systems.
