Summary
Cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, underscoring the critical need for advancements in understanding tumorigenesis, metastasis, and the identification of actionable therapeutic targets. This special issue aims to bring together groundbreaking research and reviews that address these urgent challenges.
The issue will focus on identifying biomarkers that enhance early diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response prediction across various cancer types. Additionally, it will delve into the intricate molecular mechanisms driving tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis, including studies on genetic, epigenetic, and microenvironmental factors. Innovative research on emerging therapeutic targets and their translational potential in clinical oncology will also be highlighted.
We encourage contributions employing cutting-edge approaches, such as multi-omics analyses, advanced imaging technologies, and in vivo models, alongside computational and AI-driven methods. Furthermore, studies exploring the interplay between tumor cells and their microenvironment, as well as resistance mechanisms to existing therapies, are particularly welcome.
This special issue will serve as a valuable resource for oncologists, molecular biologists, and clinical researchers, fostering a deeper understanding of cancer biology and paving the way for novel, effective therapies.
