Summary

In recent years, the incidence of early-onset cancers has increased significantly, while the need for precision prevention, early interception, and personalized treatment has become increasingly urgent. Traditional treatment models are no longer sufficient to meet clinical needs, necessitating innovative research ranging from risk prediction and precancerous intervention to early precision screening and novel treatment models. This special issue focuses on "New Models for Cancer Prevention and Treatment," aiming to achieve true early interception and personalized treatment of cancer by integrating cutting-edge multi-omics, artificial intelligence, immune regulation, microenvironment remodeling, and innovative drug delivery methods, moving from "prevention" to "treatment". This special issue will include an expanded version of outstanding papers from the 2026 International Conference on New Models for Cancer Prevention and Treatment (NMCPT 2026, http://www.nmcpt.com/), and also welcomes other external excellent submissions that did not participate in the conference.

This special issue welcomes original research, reviews, high-quality clinical research, and innovative methodological papers, especially encouraging research with rigorous mechanism validation, high clinical translational potential, and interdisciplinary integration. We hope that this special issue will gather the latest research findings with the most innovative and clinical translational potential, and provide systematic solutions to overcome current key bottlenecks in cancer prevention and treatment.
