Summary

Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy among men worldwide, highlighting the need for cost-effective and accurate diagnostic tools. Microultrasound, a high-frequency imaging technology (29 MHz), provides real-time, high-resolution visualization of prostate tissue, facilitating immediate decision-making and offering a valuable imaging modality for urologists.

Its applications have been explored in various clinical scenarios, including prostate biopsy, active surveillance, local staging, and intraoperative guidance, demonstrating promising results. This Special Issue aims to bring together leading researchers to examine the growing body of evidence supporting microultrasound's role in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. By addressing some limitations of traditional imaging, microultrasound represents a significant advancement toward more precise and personalized prostate cancer care.
