Summary

Prostatic enucleation has emerged as a gold-standard surgical approach for the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), offering complete adenoma removal and durable functional outcomes. However, despite its growing adoption, several aspects of the procedure remain controversial or insufficiently supported by robust evidence. In many areas, clinical practice is guided more by individual preference than by high-quality, comparative data. This Special Issue aims to consolidate current evidence on prostatic enucleation, addressing critical questions to refine clinical decision-making and promote best practices worldwide.

The scope of this Special Issue will encompass both technical and perioperative aspects of the surgery, evaluating innovations, comparative studies, and consensus statements. We invite original research, systematic reviews, and expert perspectives that contribute to clarifying the current state of evidence and identifying gaps for future investigation.

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Comparative analysis of different energy sources used in prostatic enucleation.
- Evaluation and comparison of current morcellators.
- Is there a prostate size limit for enucleation?
- Optimal surgical technique: two-lobe versus en bloc enucleation.
- Learning curve in prostatic enucleation.
- Best postoperative management strategies.
- Complications after prostatic enucleation and how to prevent them.
- Prostatic enucleation: where are we heading?
- MiLEP, here to stay?
- Evaluation of the educational quality of YouTube videos on prostatic enucleation
- Early apical dissection
- Evidence in tips and tricks

Through this collection, we aim to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based reference to guide and standardize practice in prostatic enucleation.
